Jubilate Conservatory of Music has moved to a new location, a spot where kids and adults can learn and practice music, and parents can grab a cup of coffee just next door.
The new location is in the Spanish Village Shopping Center in Carefree, located next door to the Black Mountain Coffee Shop. They were previously at Desert Foothills Library in Cave Creek.
Weekly classes will be held at the new location, while Saturday classes will still be held at the old one.
Laya Field, director, said she loves doing this work.
“It’s joyful, it’s a wonderful thing. I love teaching children and I love teaching music, and I have to say all of the other teachers who are here love it as well. We work together,” she said.
Jubilate — pronounced “ju-bih-latte,” like the coffee next door — teaches strings, voice, piano and organ, music theory and composition. Field said they plan on bringing back percussion and winds in the future.
Their classes include lessons for beginners, intermediates, and experts. While most of the classes are for children, their Carefree Ensemble is made for adults who used to sing or play an instrument or who are just now learning.
The new address is 7211 Ho Road, Suite 24, Carefree, AZ 85377.
