This is what I mean by piquing your child’s interest. I might say something like, “I saw an animal print shirt the other day! Can you look in your Lots of Things to Know About Animals and see if you can tell the difference between cheetah and leopard spots? I can never remember the difference!”
We’re just learning to solve curiosities with books instead of seeing reading as a chore. Oftentimes, it’ll keep your kids reading far past that!
