This is like flipping through a magazine at the grocery store. Do you want it? What do you want to read first? What are your first impressions?

This is especially helpful for learning readers who will be busy trying to sound out words and might miss some of the meaning of the story. It’ll give them a better idea of what words might make sense in the context of the story and help with comprehension.

My son has severe dyslexia and he could comprehend a story visually prior to reading and would often tell the story via the pictures instead of reading. The illustration are helpful for kiddos in the learning process.
